Appraisal criteria

Once all competition applications have been submitted, they will be reviewed and appraised by the International Expert Council (Jury). The total score for each application is calculated based on adherence to the following assessment criteria:

- 1) Originality;
- 2) Scientific and technological feasibility (taking into account timing and likelihood of development and implementation);
- 3) Market potential (taking into account market size, end product market performance and compliance with ESG aims);
- 4) Competitive advantage (in terms of cost, key properties and service life compared to existing alternatives);
- 5) Level of readiness (stage of development of the applicant’s product in terms of practical application);
- 6) Quality of application (completeness, level of detail and logical rigour of documentation).

- 1) Originality;
- 2) Scientific and technological feasibility (taking into account timing and likelihood of development and implementation);
- 3) Area of application and advantages;
- 4) Level of readiness (stage of development of the applicant’s product in terms of practical application);
- 5) Quality of application (completeness, level of detail and logical rigour of documentation).
New Palladium Applications: Best Applied Concept
- 1) Originality;
- 2) Scientific and technological feasibility (taking into account timing and likelihood of development and implementation);
- 3) Market potential (taking into account market size, end product market performance and compliance with ESG aims);
- 4) Competitive advantage (in terms of cost, key properties and service life compared to existing alternatives);
- 5) Level of readiness (stage of development of the applicant’s product in terms of practical application);
- 6) Quality of application (completeness, level of detail and logical rigour of documentation).
The applications with the highest total scores in each category will be shortlisted for consideration at a meeting of the International Expert Council (Jury). The final decision on the awarding of prizes is to be made by the International Expert Council (Jury) at an in-person meeting taking place within 10 days after the completion of the international examination. The date of the meeting of the International Expert Council will be published on the competition website at palladiumaward.com.
The names of the competition winners in each category will be announced within 5 calendar days after the meeting of the International Expert Council (Jury).
